Nuklear - PAS sokong usaha Iran

Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) menyampaikan sokongan penuhnya kepada usaha Republik Islam Iran untuk meneruskan program penyelidikan nuklear mereka dalam sepucuk surat yang dihantar oleh Presiden PAS, Dato' Seri Tuan Guru Haji Abdul Hadi Awang kepada Duta Besar Iran di Malaysia, 13 Januari lepas.

SUPPORT TO THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN ON THE RESUMPTION OF NUCLEAR FUEL RESEARCH

May peace and blessing of Allah be upon you. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our support to the Islamic Republic of Iran to end the two-year suspension of nuclear fuel research.
This nuclear development is solely to meet electricity needs of the republic and not serve as a cover to build an atomic bomb as claimed by the West.

Furthermore, IAEA chief and Nobel laureate Mohamed ElBaradei had underlined that there was no evidence Iran was developing nuclear weapons.

Also, the right to peaceful nuclear technology is already enshrined in the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) that for 35 years has governed efforts to contain the spread of atomic weapons, which Iran is one of the signatory to this covenant.

We reiterate our full support the Islamic Republic of Iran right to further develop the peaceful nature of its nuclear program.
